Okay, so I haven't done this yet (I kind of forgot), but we've been back in school for almost three weeks now, so I figured it's about time. I've been an intern at the law firm of Atkins & Markoff since last semester, and I am continuing on this semester in order to gain more insight and knowledge, and to get course credit. This law firm has gained a lot of attention through its handling of a lot of Yaz and Yazmin lawsuits, as well as silicone breast implant litigation.
Basically, I'll be doing the stuff I was last semester, hopefully getting a little more involved though... I've gotta start putting some feelers out since I'm gradumatin' in May. So far, I've written a couple blogs, which can be viewed here: http://www.atkinsandmarkoff.com/blog/ They're not all written by me, but all the cool ones are. Last week and this week the focus has been on defective products and product recalls in various areas. Last Wednesday, I sat in on a meeting that my boss, Dan Markoff, had with a potential client. She had gotten her gall bladder removed, and was kind of pissed about it. Yaz allegedly contributes to gall bladder disease, strokes, heart attacks, etc. All kinds of cool things! So he told her he'd see what he could do for her aaaaand I'm gonna start writing a blog about that as well. Should be pretty cool. That's about all for now, I'll probably be dropping by the office tomorrow so maybe something fun will pop up. Woohooo for first blog!

Hannah,
ReplyDeleteI've just been appointed as the Internship Faculty Liaison, so I'm glad to see that you've started blogging. It's interesting to see the work experience through your eyes, so I'll be stopping by from time to time. Keep up the good work.
Warmest regards,
Prof. Pritch
